The family resort of Peyragudes offers in the heart of the Pyrenees massif an exotic setting dominated by snow-covered 3,000-metre peaks, justifying its slogan "Skiing power Zen". By renting your ski equipment at the best prices you will make the most of your stay!
THE PEYRAGUDES SKI AREA
The ski area brings together the ski slopes of Peyresourde and those of Les Agudes. The ski resort is thus one of the largest in the Pyrenees. By using the Peyragudes ski rental, for example, skiers can take advantage of more than fifty slopes, including four black runs, easily accessible thanks to the seventeen ski lifts. Fans of james bond will particularly appreciate piste 007, opened for the 20th anniversary of the filming in Peyragudes of the spectacular pre-generic of the film Tomorrow Never Dies. The 250 snow cannons guarantee quality snow cover for downhill skiing, in addition to the possibilities offered by cross-country skiing. The resort is part of the N'Py (New Pyrenees) network, including Cauterets and La Mongie. Also discover the resort of Saint-Lary, a family and nature destination. .
THE TWO VILLAGES: PEYRESOURDE AND LES AGUDES
The village of Peyresourde is situated on the high Pyrenean slope of the family resort. The magnificent view of the Pyrenees and the optimal amount of sunshine make it a particularly pleasant setting. It offers all the shops, from the shop for snowboard hire or Peyragudes ski hire to the restaurant at the foot of the slopes, as well as vast free car parks. The Sérias chairlift and the Privilège lift provide quick access to the 51 ski slopes in the heart of the Pyrenees!
Les Agudes accommodation is located right on the slopes, giving immediate access to the ski area. The longest piste, that of the Vallée Blanche, offers a breathtaking 5 kilometre run, with a free shuttle bus on arrival to return to the resort. Beginners who have just started renting ski equipment can make their first steps in the snow garden and gain self-confidence before setting off.
THE OTHER ACTIVITIES OF THE RESORT
EATING, GOING OUT AND TAKING CARE OF YOURSELF IN PEYRAGUDES
The restaurant Quartier d'Hiver, which replaced the former establishment Le Cabanou, is located at an altitude of 1,950 metres. Open all day long, it allows you to have breakfast, a gourmet lunch or snack, an afternoon snack, an assortment of tapas as an aperitif and even a dinner on the slopes.
The Snowpark chalet, at an altitude of over 2,000 metres, includes a terrace offering both a panoramic view of the mountains and a view of the park appreciated by those who have opted for snowboard hire. And of course there are bars and restaurants at the foot of the slopes, where you can enjoy a tasty tartiflette and find some comfort after the effort! The Balnea thermal relaxation complex offers another Pyrenean experience, with pools of naturally warm water. The Inca, Roman or Japanese baths are all experiences to be discovered. More than thirty different treatments are available here!
SUMMER ACTIVITIES IN THE MOUNTAINS IN THE SUMMER
Winter is of course the privileged season of the resort, the one where the amateurs will take advantage of their Peyragudes ski rental to test the sliding on the 007 slope or the cross-country skiing, but one should not neglect the attractions of the mountain in summer! The Tour de France has made the Col de Peyresourde famous and the convicts of the road pass through it regularly. Fans of the little queen may be able to see the Tour play there... or try themselves on these famous roads, far away from the urban cycle tracks! Mountain bike enthusiasts will also find something to express themselves on the slopes of the Pyrenees. Hiking is also a popular summer activity, as the area around the resort offers many possibilities for hikers of all levels. It is also possible to discover the Pyrenean landscapes and heritage by car, for those who don't feel like engaging in physically demanding activities.
ACCESS TO THE RESORT
The resort of Peyragudes is easily accessible by road, whether taking the A65 from Bordeaux or the A64 from Toulouse or Spain - in winter it may be necessary to take chains for final access to Peyragudes. Shuttle buses are available from Toulouse, Tarbes and Lourdes during the winter season. The nearest airport is Tarbes Lourdes Pyrénées (IATA code LDE), which is served by Air France and low cost Ryan Air. It is also possible to come by train to the Lannemezan or Montréjeau-Gourdan - Polignan SNCF train stations, where shuttles are available during the winter to reach the resort and take advantage of the Peyragudes ski rental to test the powder!
