DESCRIPTION STATION

Les Coches is based in the Haute Tarentaise, a symbol for world class skiing in the Savoie region.  The resort was created in 1980 but has maintained its charm through respecting the architecture and slate roofs of the small villages and hamlets typical to this valley.  There are no towering buildings or concrete walls, just a multitude of scattered chalets following the organic form of the mountain.

Bein part of the Paradiski and particularly the La Plagne ski area, Les Coches is found 200m higher than its sister village, Montchavin, there is always excellent snow thanks to both the North/North East exposure of the village and the comprehensive network of snow cannons.

The icing on the cake is that we are just 10 minutes from the Vanoise Express cable car, the world’s largest resort link, between Les Arcs and La Plagne.

Beautifully situated in amongst the forest trees you’ll find the village welcoming, warm and friendly.  Perfect for families, groups of friends or couples, with beautiful views across to the Mont Blanc range but also an restaurants, bars, ice rink and cinema to keep everyone happy when they’re not skiing!

Ski Area

Les Coches has a full mixture of slopes, exposure and altitude to discover not to mention the snow is guaranteed both in quality and the length of the season.  Linked to the Paradiski ski domain you have over 425km if pistes over 14390 hectares of terrain to play with and discover!  The lifts from Montchavin are fast regardless of your level there’s great skiing for everyone. Visit the viewpoints on the Aiguille Rouge, overlooking the Chiaupe glacier at an altitude of 3000m.
