La Rosière is a south facing resort situated at 1800m on the Franco-Italian border, with snowfall throughout the season. Charming and authentic, La Rosière is made up of 2 areas, the main village and the Eucherts area, which are linked by free shuttle buses or a floodlit woodland walk. Built mainly in a chalet style La Rosière offers restaurants, bars, shops, an indoor ice-rink, a bowling alley and lots more, to keep the whole family entertained. There is accommodation to suit everyone and every budget.
Both the village centre and the Eucherts area have a ‘front de neige’ with high speed lifts taking you up into the ski area. Known as one of the sunniest ski areas in France, La Rosière has not only wide blue and red runs, but also sheltered tree skiing and some tough blacks to test even the most experienced skier (including the ungroomed, avalanche-controlled freeride zone called the ‘Snowcross des Zittieux’). There are also quiet beginner areas, a snow-park and a children’s piste. La Rosière offers an international ski area with links to L'Espace San Bernardo in Italy; discover the joys of Heli skiing and savour Italian cuisine, less than an hour from La Rosière.
La Rosière is located above Bourg Saint Maurice on the road towards the Petit Saint Bernard Pass (Attention! The Petit Saint Bernard Pass is closed in winter and the road ends in La Rosière). There are regular buses serving the Bourg Saint Maurice train station (which offers direct trains to London and Paris) and the Lyon, Chambery and Geneva airports.
