Founded by shepherds in 1960, the resort of La Rosière is an authentic destination. This hamlet was originally home to traditional stone and slate chalets. From the moment the Poletta ski lift opened on December 23, 1960, La Rosière experienced continuous growth with the development of the ski area, housing estates, and ski lifts extending to the Fort de la Redoute.

These eco-commitments include slowing the speed of ski lifts during periods of low visitor numbers, limiting water and electricity consumption, reducing the production of artificial snow, and decreasing the fuel consumption of snow groomers. In addition, La Rosière is committed to preserving fragile natural habitats and protected species such as the black grouse. Finally, it plans to plant 1,500 trees over three years to restore natural regulation to its ecosystem.

Throughout the season, the La Rosière resort offers the Dolce Vita package, which includes a 2-day Espace San Bernardo pass, an overnight stay in a hotel in La Thuile, Italy, and access to the Pré-Saint-Didier thermal baths in the Aosta Valley. The San Bernardo Space

The Espace San Bernardo is a unique ski area linking France and Italy. Thanks to its dual south and north exposure, it guarantees exceptional snow conditions throughout the season. The very first France/Italy connection was established in 1985 following an agreement between the municipalities of Séez, Montvalezan, and La Thuile. La Rosière then became an international ski area. Coming on holiday to La Rosière

Here are several options for getting to La Rosière. First, if you plan to travel by plane, Chambéry, Geneva, and Lyon-Saint-Exupéry airports offer transfer services to the resort. The nearest train station to La Rosière is Bourg-Saint-Maurice, located approximately 35 kilometers away. You can easily reach the resort by bus. Finally, if you are traveling by car, you can take the A43 motorway to Albertville, then follow the N90 to Bourg-Saint-Maurice and La Rosière. At the roundabout at the entrance to the resort, turn right towards Les Eucherts.

Make sure to check road conditions in winter, as snow tires may be necessary.
