Lying right in the heart of the 3 Valleys ski area and giving access to approximately 600km of skiing, Meribel is a pretty chalet style resort. Convivial and warm, the resort is well known for chalet accommodation, but caters for everyone, with plenty of apartment and hotel accommodation available too. With on and off snow activities including an Olympic park which contains a swimming pool, ice-rink, bowling alley, climbing wall and gym and a slalom piste that is able to host World Cup races, Meribel is not going to disappoint! Meribel is also known as a family friendly resort, with a host of activities on offer to delight even the youngest of visitors.
The Meribel ski area welcomes beginner skiers and snowboarders, but also offers fantastic conditions for all abilities. With long wide pistes, plenty of tree skiing, 2 fantastic snow parks and challenging black runs, there is something for everyone! The longest piste in terms of descent can be found in the Meribel area! From the top of Mont Vallon (2952m) to the centre of Meribel (1450m) gives you 1502m of descent which can be skied all in one go – if your legs can take it!
One of the best things about the Meribel skiing is that, as all the runs are well linked, beginners and expert skiers forming part of the same group can all join up throughout the day to ski together.
As with all the 3 Valleys resorts Méribel is easily accessible by car from Moutiers. The nearest train station is in Moûtiers and bus services and taxis link the resort to the train station and Lyon, Geneva and Chambery airports.
