GOURETTE: THE PYRENEES
The cirque of Gourette is a classified site thanks to its numerous natural sites and the protection of the surrounding landscape. Dominated by the Col d'Aubisque and the Pic de Ger, Gourette is a mythical destination located on the thermal water route. Its natural and authentic heritage combines perfectly with the innovative and modern architecture of the resort.
The first ski descents took place in 1903, but it was not until 1930 that the very first hotel was built. Then in the 1960s, the democratisation of winter sports allowed the acceleration of real estate and the development of tourism.
