Courchevel: the Alpine jewel

Located in Savoie in the French Alps, Courchevel is an internationally renowned ski resort , known for its luxurious mountain experience. Thanks to the combined vision of its elected officials and their commitment to excellence, it has become a must-visit destination for ski enthusiasts and travelers seeking a unique alpine experience. Now comprised of six villages (Saint-Bon, Le Praz, La Tania, Courchevel Village, Moriond, and Courchevel 1850), each area offers a blend of tradition and contemporary luxury.

Over 77 years of experience

The creation of the Courchevel resort dates back to 1946, when the commune of Saint-Bon ceded its land to the Savoie department for a ski resort construction project. But even before that date, skiers were already climbing the peaks using skins. It was at the end of the Second World War that the resort's development took a new turn. The very first ski lift in Courchevel Moriond, the Saint Agathe, was built in 1945. Because the safety of the ski slopes has always been a priority, the resort has placed great emphasis on the quality of its maintenance so that skiers can enjoy the slopes from the very first snowfall.

Today, Courchevel has become an international benchmark among high-end ski resorts. Thanks to its commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction, it has always been very demanding in the construction of its accommodations, shops and services.

The 3 Valleys

With 600 km of ski slopes spread across 7 resorts, Les 3 Vallées is the largest ski area in the world . Courchevel is linked to Méribel, Brides-les-Bains, Saint-Martin-de-Belleville, Les Menuires, Val Thorens, and Orelle. Skiers of all levels will find routes suited to their abilities, from gentle slopes to challenging runs. Furthermore, state-of-the-art lifts ensure quick access to the snow-covered peaks, guaranteeing unforgettable days on the slopes.

The 3 Valleys, in a few figures:

  • 150 days of skiing guaranteed;
  • 158 modern ski lifts;
  • An area situated between 1,100 and 3,230 m altitude;
  • 85% of the slopes are over 1,800m;
  • 25 mythical peaks accessible.

Novice skiers and snowboarders can enjoy the beginner areas, while more experienced skiers and snowboarders can embark on more daring adventures on challenging slopes and thrilling off-piste routes.

This vast playground offers total immersion in mountain culture. Whether in Courchevel, Méribel, Val Thorens, or one of the other villages, you'll find a warm and friendly atmosphere, as well as quality restaurants, bars, and shops.
