The La Chapelle d'Abondance ski area is organized around two complementary sectors. Crêt-Béni is particularly well-suited to families and skiers looking to improve, with beginner areas and fun runs. On the other side of the valley, Braitaz offers more challenging slopes and provides access to the Châtel sector, and then on to the vast Franco-Swiss Portes du Soleil ski area.

A destination also oriented towards the Nordic

La Chapelle d'Abondance also offers a different way to experience the mountains. Its Nordic ski area features 13 cross-country ski trails , for both skating and classic styles. Snowshoeing, sledding, and dog sledding round out the options for enjoying the snowy landscapes beyond downhill skiing.

From the Abondance Valley, the Portes du Soleil opens up a vast ski area linking French and Swiss resorts. With approximately 600 km of slopes , it's possible to ski from one area to another and cross the border on skis, heading towards destinations such as Châtel, Avoriaz, or the resorts of Valais. From accessible slopes to more technical descents, the area offers a wide variety of terrain for all levels.
