An excellent family destination, Peisey-Vallandry is a traditional French resort full of rustic charm. The resort is made up of two villages, Plan-Peisey and Vallandry. Shops, mini-market, restaurants, bars and services…everything is close by. The scenery is wonderful; perched on the balcony of the Tarentaise valley there are views reaching out over the Vanoise and Beaufortain valleys towards Mont Blanc in the distance.
The ski area
Vallandry is at the heart of the vast Paradiski ski area, with over 425km of pistes, terrain parks and quiet beginner zones. It is from Vallandry that you can take the Vaoise Express cable car across to Les Coches and the La Plagne ski. The Peisey-Vallandry ski area is well known for its wide green and blue runs, in the trees, but don’t worry! There are more challenging pistes hidden in the pines and great off piste for the amateur thrill seeker.
By car, follow signs to Moutiers, then Aime, then Landry and then Peisey-Vallandry . Take note – In winter the road linking Les Arcs to Peisey Vallandry is closed to private car access. The only car access is via Landry.
There is a bus service and taxis which serve the stations at Landry and Bourg Saint Maurice and also the airports of Geneva, Chambery and Lyon.
