Peisey-Vallandry

The conquest of Mont-Pourri in 1861 by Michel Croz attracted the curiosity of tourists to this valley. As early as 1910, the first ski club was created and winter tourism developed in the 1920s, first in the commune of Peisey-Nancroix. Then in the 1960s, the resort of Peisey-Vallandry was created thanks to the Plan de l'Ours ski lift which linked the villages.

Grouping together several village resorts, Landry, Peisey, Le Villaret, Moulin, Nancroix and Pont Baudin, Peisey Vallandry plunges you into the heart of mountain life. These typical and authentic hamlets guarantee you a change of scenery and well-being from the moment you arrive.

Thanks to its geographical position, the village of Vallandry is in the heart of the Vanoise National Park. Created in 1963, its vocation is to protect the mountain fauna and flora and to preserve the environmental richness, such as rocks, plants... Today, the Vanoise is home to emblematic species such as the Alpine ibex and the chamois. This territory is a protected area that is indispensable for raising awareness of respect for and protection of nature. Near Bourg-Saint-Maurice, you can reach Les Arcs by funicular.
