The resort of Courchevel is composed of 6 villages: Courchevel 1850, Moriond (1650 m), Courchevel Village (1550 m), Le Praz (1300 m), La Tania and Saint-Bon. 

The history of the creation of the resort is linked to that of the arrival of the train in the town of Moûtiers, attracting more and more holidaymakers in the mountains.
