Summer 2021 in the mountains: where to spend your holidays?

The mountains in summer are synonymous with fresh air and relaxation, but also with activities that allow you to get away from it all. June - Summer skiing

Because you can't wait for the winter season to put your skis back on, some resorts offer the possibility to ski in summer! From May 29th, head for Les 2 Alpes and its large high altitude domain. Board the ski lifts which will take you up to more than 3,200 metres in altitude! The 2 Alpes glacier is currently the largest ski area in Europe. The resort guarantees you a unique mountain holiday, between trail riding, hiking, mountain biking and summer skiing. 

From June 12th, the Pisaillas Glacier in Val d'Isère will be accessible for ski schools and individuals. Then from 19 June, all ski enthusiasts will be able to enjoy the Glacier de la Grande Motte. Overlooking the Lac du Chenil, the resort of Tignes offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding peaks. And for the bike park, a little patience! The mountain bike trails in Tignes will be accessible from June 26th.

July and August - Mountain biking, hiking and trail running

Ideas for your summer holidays in Savoie? Located near the Italian border, the resort of La Rosière benefits from exceptional sunshine and a breathtaking view over the Tarentaise valley. From the 3rd of July, you will be able to take advantage of the mountain bike tracks and the trail paths. Moreover, from the Petit Saint Bernard pass, beautiful hikes are accessible to all levels, in a rich and preserved nature.
