Created in the 1970s, Risoul 1850 ski resort recently celebrated its 50th anniversary. With the advent of skiing and winter sports, the village has launched the construction of tourist residences and ski lifts to meet the demand. Surrounded by a larch forest, the resort has managed to seduce tourists with its rich and diverse nature.

Overlooking the Ecrins and Mont Pelvoux, the resort of Risoul 1850 plunges you into a warm atmosphere thanks to its typical and charming village. Composed of several hamlets (Eglise, Gaudissard, Barbeing, Chauvet, Rua), the destination is bathed in exceptional sunshine thanks to its geographical position. As soon as you arrive in the resort, you will be immersed in a dream world for your holidays!

RISOUL 1850 SKI AREA

La Forêt Blanche offers almost 185 km of ski slopes for all levels. This winter, Risoul 1850 is thinking of the comfort of every skier with the La Grande Bleue piste. 5 km of pure skiing pleasure with varied landscapes and a difference in altitude of 700 m! La Forêt Blanche is a ski area linking Risoul 1850 to Vars. Thanks to this link, snow sports lovers will be seduced by the vast playground available to them.

At the top of Peyrefolle at 2457 m, a large beginners' area is accessible for skiing in complete safety. Beginners and amateur skiers will be able to learn to ski with confidence and consolidate their technical base without any compromise with the view!

The Waouland Risoul snowpark is 100% fun! Raised turns, natural obstacles, jumps, freestyle skiers will be seduced by the different courses, the jibs or the Cool Zone at the end of the day!

Nearly 17 kilometres of cross-country skiing routes make up the large Nordic area of Risoul 1850. Accessible on cross-country skis and snowshoes, these groomed trails allow you to walk on plateaux and forest paths to get a little closer to nature.

SPORTS ACTIVITIES IN WINTER

Situated on the snow front, a large skating rink with a surface area of 600m² welcomes you all winter long. Thanks to its natural ice, you will be able to practice ice skating but also hockey. Go to the heart of the Forêt Blanche and discover the life of a musher with a dog-sled ride. An atmosphere of the Far North that is much appreciated by young and old alike.

For a maximum of thrills, try a zip line crossing over 700 m long. Fly over the ski area between heaven and earth and fill up with emotions with an exclusive flight! For a moment of relaxation and well-being, discover the Risoul water sports center. Nordic pool, heated swimming pool, hammam and fitness centre are on the programme!

FULL OF SENSATIONS IN SUMMER

Go downhill at over 30 km/h in a rail sledge! Ideal for the whole family, this activity is appreciated by adults and children alike, to discover the mountains in a different way. Many mountain walks are accessible with the Risoul Rando Park. Fully signposted theme trails will take you through diverse landscapes to discover the fauna and flora. For the more adventurous, white water sports are offered, such as canoying and rafting. In an exceptional natural setting, you will set off on an adventure through these numerous sporting activities.

Finally, with the Risoul VTT Camp, go down the mountain bike trails and take the Enduro circuits to reach the summits. Each itinerary is adapted to a different level to discover the mountains at your own pace.

ACCESS TO THE RISOUL RESORT

From Grenoble, follow the famous Route Napoléon (N85) then the N94 from Gap to Guillestre. From Marseille, take the A51 motorway to La Saulce and then follow the direction of Briançon. Bus transfers are available from the Montdauphin and Aix-en-Provence TGV stations. Finally, shuttle buses run from Marignane airport to Risoul.
