Created in the 70's, the resort of Les Coches is imagined from the village of Montchavin. It is Auguste Mudry, the mayor of Bellentre, who called upon architects to transform this commune and propose tourist residences. The objective is simple, to keep the Savoyard spirit and the typical mountain constructions to create a traditional high mountain atmosphere. The first building in Les Coches was inaugurated in 1981 which launched the economic and territorial development of the resort.
