If only everyone was this cool! He rejoins his mates, his favourite riding spots and his Ski Republic shop in Tignes each winter, for a long break in the snow between skating and travelling: Julien, don’t change a thing!
This is your 7th season in Tignes?
That’s right, 7 winter seasons! My job has great hours for riding, each season I catch up with a core of very good mates from Clermont, plus my friends here… for the moment there’s no question of my changing resort. On top of that my job has evolved in an interesting fashion, in addition to being a skiman; I’m helping my manager with more responsible tasks.
A bit of skiing then...
A little skiing and a lot of snowboarding. It’s snow sports which led me to skateboarding, so long live the plank because I’ve been skating since I was 18 and it won’t let me go. Logically you’ll find me in the snowpark, Palafour, Tichot. If there was a pass just for those zones, that’s the one I’d get. I also take any chance I can to skate in Tignes, and when I have the opportunity, head down to Bourg St Maurice or Annecy to skate, always.
Your interseasons are filled with:
Many different things. For example and in no particular order: I took a break to pass my Audiovisual BTS, went travelling for a month in Mexico, then in California to forget Mexico… and last summer I made pizzas in Clermont Ferrand.
You go out at night?
To the Studio and the Melting Pot, nowhere else.
A passion?
Good music, so not what they generally play on the radio, and I’ve also been playing piano for 3 years. I brought my synth with me so I can practice this winter!
A message?
An indoor skatepark in the old Tignespace wouldn’t be a bad idea, would it?
